Like so many families, our lives were turned upside down by the COVID-19 pandemic. I was laid off from my job, and one challenge led to another until we received an eviction notice and lost our home. It’s been a tough road, but through it all, my daughter (who just turned 18) has been right by my side.
Shes been diagnosed with epilepsy and conversion disorder, and the stress of our unstable situation has made her seizures more frequent lately .
Watching her go through this breaks my heart every day, and all I want is to give her a place to rest, without the constant worry of where we’ll sleep next.
Right now, we’re staying in motels night by night. I’m working as much as I can while also going to school, But between motel costs, gas, food, her medical needs, and everyday expenses, saving for a deposit, first month’s rent, and moving costs feels impossible on my own. I’ve reached out to every program and referral I’ve been given, but so far, we haven’t found the support we need.

I’ve never been someone who asks for help easily. I don’t like the idea of burdening others or inconveniencing anyone with my problems, But after exhausting every option and seeing how much this instability is affecting my daughter, I realized that reaching out isn’t weakness; it’s doing what’s necessary to protect the person I love.
We’re aiming to raise enough to cover the initial costs of a small apartment—security deposit, first month’s rent, and basic moving/setup expenses—so we can finally have a stable place to call home.

If you’ve ever known what it’s like to fight for stability, or if you’re simply moved to help a family get back on their feet, your support would mean more than words can say. Whether it’s a donation, sharing our story, or just sending positive thoughts—thank you from the bottom of my heart.
We are so grateful for any kindness shown to us. Your help isn’t just about money; it’s about giving us hope, peace, and the chance to rebuild. Thank you for reading our story and for believing in brighter days ahead.
With deep appreciation,
