Long story short- I left my house/ex fiance with my 3 kids back in late 2023 due to a longstanding DV issue that I struggled to leave (together almost 10 years). I left with nearly nothing and wasn’t able to get years worth of my own personal items as well as my kids things, but we have learned that things can always be replaced.
In October of 2023 I started working third shift as a nurse at a local hospital working 3+ shifts at 12-14 hours while continuing to be a primary parent but within 6 months of living with a family I was able to buy a car and we moved into my first solo 2 bedroom apartment.
Fast forward I was taken out of work by my providers for medical reasons and have gone through endless setbacks since (car repossessed this past October and recently evicted in February) all while still trying to heal from past trauma and be a good parent with nearly no external support. I am awaiting SSI approval since my fmla/unemployment have been exhausted. My snap benefits were rejected upon periodic review and I had to reapply. Any help is appreciated.
