I am a single mother of two wonderful boys, ages 17 and 12, and I am reaching out with a humble heart and hope that someone might be able to help us through this difficult time.
Being a mother means everything to me. My children are my world, and no matter how hard life gets, I continue to do the best I can to provide for them. Unfortunately, I live with schizophrenia, anxiety, depression, and SLE lupus. These conditions make it extremely difficult for me to work and maintain the stability my children and I desperately need.I have applied for disability benefits, hoping that I could finally receive some assistance to help support my family, but I continue to be denied. It is heartbreaking to keep trying and trying, only to find myself back at the same place, struggling to figure out how I am going to make ends meet. I have been donating plasma to earn whatever money I can. I do this because I have children depending on me, and giving up is not an option. But even with the little money I am able to bring in, it is simply not enough to cover all of our needs. Every day brings worries about bills, groceries, household necessities, and how I will continue to provide for my children. What makes this even harder is that I do not have family I can turn to for help. There is no one I can call when things become overwhelming, no family member who can step in when I am struggling, and no safety net to catch us when life gets too hard. I have to face these challenges on my own, even on the days when my health makes everything feel impossible.I am asking for a little help, a little relief, and a chance to breathe without constantly worrying about how we will get through the next day. Whether it is help with groceries, rent, utilities, household essentials, or even a small financial contribution, anything would mean more to us than words could ever express.
It is not easy to share my struggles with others. Asking for help can be embarrassing and emotional, especially when you have spent so much time trying to handle everything yourself. But sometimes we reach a point where we have to put our pride aside and admit that we cannot do everything alone.Today, I am reaching out with hope. I hope that someone reading my story will understand that behind these words is a mother who is trying her hardest, a mother who is battling health problems while doing everything she can to care for her children, and a family that could truly use a helping hand. If you are able to help us in any way, please know that your kindness would make a real difference in our lives. Even if you cannot donate, sharing our story, offering encouragement, or pointing us toward resources that might help would mean so much to us.Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for seeing us during one of the hardest seasons of our lives. Your compassion could bring a little hope into a situation that has felt overwhelming for far too long. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for caring about a mother and her two children who are simply trying to make it through and find a better, more stable future together.
